Who we are and what this covers

Phoenix Network Solutions, Inc. ("Phoenix", "we", "us") runs the website at pnxns.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website and its forms, including the Phoenix Academy registration page, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

It does not cover data that our clients store on systems we host or manage for them. That is governed by each client's service agreement with us.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form: your name, email address, company (optional), what you are interested in, and your message.
• VMware cost-audit form: your name, email address, company (optional) and the approximate number of VMware hosts you run.
• Review form: your name, company and role (optional), email address, your review, and whether you agree to us publishing it.
• Phoenix Academy: for the interest list, your name, email address and, if you choose, phone number, preferred nights and what you would like to build. If you buy a seat, Stripe collects your payment details.
• Email and phone: whatever you send us when you write to us or call. When you call, our phone system records the number you called from and the time and length of the call.

Information collected automatically

• Usage information through Google Analytics: pages you visit, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and approximate location (city or region, derived from your IP address).
• How you arrived, in our own pnx_attr cookie: referring site, landing page, campaign tags and any ad-click ID. See Cookies, below.
• Server and security logs: your IP address, browser and the pages requested, kept by our hosting and Cloudflare to run and protect the site.

How we use it

• To reply to you, arrange a call, prepare a quote, and provide the services you ask for.
• To register you for a Phoenix Academy class or tell you when one is scheduled.
• To publish your review, only if you have ticked the box agreeing to it.
• To send the Quarterly Field Report, only if you asked to subscribe. Every issue lets you unsubscribe.
• To understand which pages and channels bring people to us, so we can improve the site.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use the site, and we use the reports it produces to understand and improve the site. This site does not use Google Ads or any other advertising or remarketing tags.

You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses the following. It does not use advertising cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them; we simply will not know how you found us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that run this site and our business, who process it on our behalf:

• Google: Google Analytics (site usage measurement) and Google Fonts (the typeface this site uses, loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address).
• Cloudflare: Delivers this website and protects it from attacks. Processes request data such as your IP address.
• Microsoft 365: Our email and Microsoft Teams. Form submissions reach our staff by email and, for enquiries, as a Teams message, and our reply to you is sent by email.
• Stripe: Processes payment if you buy a Phoenix Academy seat. You enter card details on Stripe's page; we never receive your full card number.
• Phoenix-operated systems: Enquiries are also recorded in our own customer-relationship application and Academy registration system, which run on servers Phoenix operates.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a buyer or successor if Phoenix's business is sold or merged, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. This site does not change its behaviour in response to it. To stop analytics tracking, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or block cookies, as described above.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries and correspondence: as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep a record of our business relationship.
• Google Analytics data: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.
• The pnx_attr cookie: one year in your browser, unless you delete it sooner.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete it, unless we have to keep it for a legal or contractual reason;
• stop sending you marketing email.

Email [email protected] with your request. We may need to confirm it is you before we act, and we will reply within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Security

We protect the information we hold with technical and organisational measures appropriate to it, and this site is served only over encrypted connections. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where your information is processed

Phoenix is based in the United States, and the information we collect is processed in the United States by us and by the service providers listed above.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will also put a notice on the site's home page.
