Armellini Express Lines moves refrigerated freight — flowers, produce, anything that spoils if a truck stops. Its IT had to work the same way. So when the company asked Comcast Enterprise for a fiber quote, it was already dealing with a bigger problem.
The third party hosting Armellini's servers was closing its doors and had told the company, in effect, to come and collect its hardware. The workloads had to move. And nobody on staff knew virtualization.
In one of those meetings, Comcast's sales engineer — who knew Alex, Phoenix's founder — offered an introduction.

For Armellini that meant its IT staff could stop worrying about hypervisors and get back to what the company actually needed from them: running a trucking company.
Phoenix migrated the antiquated Windows environments and SQL workloads into a dedicated private cloud and took over management of the hybrid environment Armellini still runs today.
Nine sites, one network, twice the company.
A migration is a moment. A relationship is what happens after. Over the following decade Phoenix connected Armellini's terminals and offices across Florida, Georgia and California onto one managed network with dual-carrier fiber, carried the environment through Windows Server generation upgrades, delivered a complete application conversion, and put a 14-day replicated backup at a second location.
Ten years on, Armellini has doubled in size. We'd like to think we were part of that.
